Went back a few weeks ago for dinner. Food has, if anything, gotten better, especially starters. Only quibble: wines by the glass are still overpriced, especially thimble sized dessert wines.

With Tini's recently closed and Sandro's looking slow, I'm wondering how this foodie corner of Yorkville (now Etat-Unis, Turqoise, Sandro's, Spigolo) is holding up. Maybe Sandro's will pick up Tini's business--Spigolo is already packed.

I'm hopeful something new and interesting will occupy Tini's old space. We could use more upper mid dining in the neighborhood, and it's time for someone to branch out beyond Italian or branches of West Side restaurants-Hi-Life/Vynl/etc.

Look how well Cafe D'Alsace is doing and you'll know the neighborhood would support some off the boot options.

For small plates and drinks, I'd take Uva's back garden space over Spigolo's sidewalk. That said, Spigolo's a much better choice, inside or out, for full meals.

Have you stopped by late night? The crowd is lively but not as claustrophobically packed. It's a kinder gentler Uva with better food. As far as the wine by the glass pricing issue, split a bottle and you'll be just fine.
